Job Title: EMC Engineer
Department: Product Engineering
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Manager, Test Engineering

Supervises:
BASIC FUNCTION
EMC testing of XXXX electronic products to automotive EMC specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Works with program management and 3rd-party laboratories to
determine component test schedules, budgets and deadlines.
2. Develops EMC test plans for electronic components.
3. Completes tests by training technicians, directing test support
equipment preparation and working with 3rd-party laboratories.
4. Resolves test disputes by reviewing test specifications, pass/fail
criteria, and test processes with design engineer and test technicians and
management, making modifications where necessary.
5. Assists design engineers in developing EMC-compliant PCB layouts.
6. Analyzes EMC test data by comparing to specifications to complete test reports, 7D documents and Design Verification Plan and Report documents.
7. Maintains consistency by developing and writing test procedures and work instructions.

OTHER DUTIES
Completes other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience: Three or more years related experience in automotive EMC test.
Familiarity with EMC test set-up and calibration. EMC test set-up certification experience is a plus.
Certifications: None required, but NARTE certification is a plus. Must have working knowledge of Automotive EMC specifications:
DaimlerChrylser PF 10540/10541, Toyota 7548G, GMW3100, etc.
