Customer or Client Requirements
There are several instances when a client may demand specific EMC requirements. For instance, if the customer is has a product or component will be iincorporated in a third-party component or product, the OEM customer will require proof that the product or component will meet respective regulatory standards.

The OEM customer will dictate the amount of testing and documentation they require. It's common for an OEM customer to ask for compliance that exceeds legal (Government) standards.
