Junior EMC Test Technician (Aerotek Inc. in Largo, Florida)
Looking for someone to perform routine tasks in testing engineering prototypes. Type testing which includes: EMC, hypot, transient, environmental, and complex functional test routines. In addition, perform the following on solid state and digital electronic equipment: installation, repair, and troubleshooting assemblies to the component level.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Soldering and assembly of electronic products.
-Assemble test fixtures and other special projects
-Troubleshoot to component level analog and electronic circuits
-Execute automatic test software
-Perform electrical type tests on engineering prototypes
-Accurately records numerical and graphical test data for procedures, test methods and results
-Analyzes test results and compares with calculated values in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, provides feedback on test results to engineers
-Confers with engineers and project team leaders to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data and data interpretation
-Maintains design verification records in accordance with ISO-9001 and company procedures
-May design method or fixtures to accomplish design verification or development of test routines.
-Specifies equipment required to support design and department efforts
-Accurately records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data and makes recommendations for changes in product or test method.
-Provides technical information to customers concerning the operation and testing of company products
Machines/Tool/Equipment
Protective relay test systems, digital multimeter, oscilloscope, function generator, AC/DC power supply, hypot tester, EMC/ESD test equipment, hand soldering tools, electric drill, bench grinder, manual assembly tools.
