Job Summary:

Support regulatory compliance efforts and associated approvals of
products and product families. Support component evaluation and
qualification in an electronics manufacturing environment. Support
program to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental
requirements such as the EC directives on WEEE and RoHS. (WEEE -Waste
Electronic and Electrical Equipment; RoHS -Reduction of Hazardous
Substances)

Essential Functions:
· Support product, accessory and component regulatory
certifications and follow-up service activities.
· Support component engineering efforts and operations
engineering systems.
· Respond to environmental initiatives from customers, agencies
and governments.
· Investigate and advise on strategies for environmental concerns
facing vision systems and accessories based on electronic manufacturing.
· Maintain appropriate communication with divisions of the
company to guide decisions regarding environmental concerns.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:· Advanced knowledge of industry environmental requirements and issues.
· Ability to respond to inquiries regarding environmental
concerns generated by customers and suppliers.
· Ability to support compliance programs in a multi-function and
multi-geography environment.
· Skill to rigorously develop and sustain compliance documentation.
· General knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes and
related technologies.
· Knowledge of electronic component configurations and
qualification criteria.

Minimum education and work experience required:
· BSEE or equivalent required. Three years experience with
compliance and environmental activities in the electronics industry.
