The FOCUS II Dynamic Signal Analyzer from LDS is claimed to be an all-in-one solution to vibration analysis. Here are its features:

USB Connectivity
FOCUS II connects to any PC as a USB 2.0, 1.1 or 1.0 device. FOCUS II greatly simplifies analyzer hookup by taking advantage of USB plug & play to provide quick connection to any USB equipped PC.

Easy to Use
The FOCUS II Dynamic Signal Analyzer operates like an instrument. Its application-tailored Windows XP/2000 packages reduce learning time and make it easy to get results quickly. One-click report generation eliminates the tedium of creating test documentation. Exporting data is effortless for easy sharing with other analysis programs.

Measurement Flexibility
Concurrent analysis and disk throughput provides immediate viewing of results while retaining the raw data for in-depth analysis or backup. Data recording, post-processing, and real-time measurements are all available with only one click needed to dynamically switch between measurement and analysis modes.

Portable and Rugged
Fully loaded, FOCUS II weighs less than 13.5 lbs (6.12 kg) with a footprint a little larger than a notebook computer. Designed for the rigors of fieldwork, FOCUS II has a high-strength steel/aluminum case with shock guards. It runs on AC, DC or a battery pack for lab or mobile operation.

Accuracy
All inputs and outputs are 24-bit resolution, protected by both analog and digital anti-alias filters, so can you always have full confidence in the data integrity. Five input voltage ranges, with auto-ranging, and 32-bit floating-point arithmetic computations ensure the highest accuracy.

Real-Time Processing
A distributed DSP architecture, with a DSP per every two input channels, powers a real-time rate of 42 kHz on all channels to get results fast. Fast real-time processing aids in quick measurement setup, gives you results instantly, and makes it possible to validate data quality while in the field. The high-speed USB 2.0 interface enables disk throughput rates of over 1.9 Msamples/s.

Multi-tasking Power
Perform multiple tasks in different programs without compromising speed. FOCUS II performs all measurement and signal processing independent of the PC's processor.

Modular & Expandable
Modular hardware and software upgrades make the FOCUS II Dynamic Signal Analyzer a very affordable solution for your testing needs now and for projects to come. By synchronizing two units you can have a vibration analyzer capable of doing simultaneous acquisition on up to 40 inputs while using 4 source outputs.

Signal Conditioning
Optional 4 channel strain gauge and thermocouple input modules with separate low sampling rate acquisition make it possible to acquire data beyond the capabilities of many FFT analyzers.
