CKC Laboratories, Inc. offer EMITest, their EMC Measurement-Control Software.

The new EMITest Version 4.01 adds these features:

* Updated user interface – more intuitive for ease of operation.
* Plots ambient sweep data against test data.
* Turntable and antenna mast control - works with most EMCO™ and Sunol Sciences™ turntable controllers and antenna mast controllers.
* Scripting – the ability to define a set of tasks to be performed in sequence, thus making testing processes easier to implement.

Existing Features Included with Version 4.01:

* Export the test data into Microsoft Word™, Microsoft Excel™, HTML or text formats.
* Plot data against multiple specification limits.
* Change the specification limit on an existing data sheet.
* An immunity program that facilitates radiated and conducted RF immunity testing.
* A calibration program that provides the capability to define various transducer correction factors and automatically calibrate many types of equipment.
* Harmonics calculator – automatically determines the harmonics of system clocks.
* Stores up to 50 spectrum analyzer set-ups for instant recall.
* Spectrum analyzer screen captures can be saved to Excel and BMP file formats.
* Specification limits are easily generated, stored, retrieved, and modified.
* Special notations can be attached to individual test readings, groups of readings or an entire data sheet.

EMITest Modules:

Radiated and Conducted Emissions: EMITest™ automatically collects measurement data from the spectrum analyzer and automatically applies the pre-selected transducer correction factors. The result is an immediate display (or output) of pass or fail data along with the dB under or over specification. Test data can be exported to Excel or other Windows-based applications in data, graph, text or database format. Full view graphs and data sheets can be printed. Turntable azimuth measurements and antenna mast linear measurements are also automatically stored in the test data via most EMCO™ and Sunol Sciences™ turntable and antenna mast controllers and EMCO™ compatible controllers.

Immunity: EMITest™ is only limited in frequency range by the signal generator and amplifier used to create the uniform field. Many parameters of Immunity testing can be adjusted from within EMITest™ MIL-STD specifications. Frequency, output power, dwell time, and sweep steps can all be changed from within EMITest™ to fit your individual needs.

Calibration Program: The Calibration Program can be used to automatically calibrate test sites, antennas and various transducer correction factors according to ANSI C63.4 and CISPR procedures. To maximize accuracy, the program uses a variable number of data points.

Specification Editor: EMITest™ includes predefined limits for all the popular commercial emissions limits. The specification limit data files are selectable, allowing maximum flexibility in limit availability or limit comparisons. A partial list of test specifications which can be pre-loaded into the EMITest™ Specification Editor includes: EN55011, EN55022, FCC Part 15, EN61000-4-3, and MIL-STD 461.

Installation and System Requirements

EMITest™ EMC testing software operates on a personal computer (PC) in Microsoft Windows 95/98, ME, 2000, NT Workstation and XP environments. The PC hardware interfaces with spectrum analyzer test equipment via an IEEE-488 bus and National Instruments GPIB Interface Card.
