The Model 687A01 portable vibration meter kit provides convenient measurement of rms vibration levels in either acceleration (g) or velocity (in/sec) units on a 3 1/2 digit LCD display. The kit is supplied with an industrial accelerometer, magnetic mounting base, headphones for audio monitoring of the structure borne noise, interconnect cables, and storage case. The device is useable with minimal training and is geared toward an unsophisticated approach at machinery condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. The unit complies with ISO 2954 and ISO 10816 standards and features a vibration severity chart to compare measured data with criteria for acceptable or dangerous vibration levels.

Measures overall rms vibration levels in g or in/sec
3 1/2 digit LCD display
0.01 to 19.99 g rms acceleration range
0.001 to 1.999 in/sec rms velocity range
Magnetically mounted industrial accelerometer
Headphones for audio monitoring of structure borne noise
On-board vibration severity chart for interpreting measured data
Compliant with ISO 2954 and ISO 10816 standards
Monitors accelerometer DC bias voltage for troubleshooting sensors
