Polar Plot - Wide Lobes
- Emissions are coming from the sides of the product.
- Single- or double-lobed plot is typical behavior at the lower frequencies (<300 MHz).
- Probably caused by cable radiation.
- Polar plot at 216 MHz. Shape of plot indicates a half-wave dipole antenna pattern.
Commonly-found Polar Plot at Higher Frequencies – Narrow Lobes
- Emissions radiated from all around product.
- Commonly-found behavior at the higher frequencies (>300 MHz).
- Likely cause: slot radiation.
